The present invention, as an insulation structure installed between a primary protective wall within a liquefied natural gas storage tank and the inner side of a hull, comprises: a plurality of upper insulation boards coupled to the primary protective wall; secondary main protective walls coupled to the upper insulation boards respectively; lower insulation boards coupled to the secondary main protective walls, installed on the inner side of the hull, and having tilted side walls to make the upper surfaces thereof in contact with the secondary main protective walls have narrower width than the lower surfaces thereof in contact with the inner side of the hull; a lower connecting member positioned between neighboring lower insulation boards and having side walls tilted at the same slope as the side walls of the lower insulation boards; and a secondary auxiliary protective wall formed for covering a part of neighboring secondary main protective walls and the upper surface of the lower connecting member and having both ends fixed by being attached to a part of the secondary main protective walls, wherein a part of the upper surface of the lower connecting member is attached to a part of the lower surface of the secondary auxiliary protective wall via an adhesion layer and a gap is formed between the side walls of the lower connecting member facing each other.
