PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent disconnection between apertures and prevent the reduction of numerical aperture while securing display uniformity on a liquid crystal display device provided with a plurality of apertures.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a first electrode provided on the first substrate, a second electrode provided on the second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer provided between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first electrode has a plurality of first apertures 18 which have a shape long in a first direction and are regularly arranged, and a length L1 between shorter side edges of each first aperture is longer than a length L2 between first apertures adjacent in the first direction. The second electrode has a plurality of second apertures 19 which have a shape long in the first direction and are regularly arranged, and a length between shorter side edges of each second aperture is longer than a length between second apertures adjacent in the first direction. Each of the first apertures and second apertures has, in plan view, a recess in at least one of two outer edge parts along the first direction. |
