摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve resistance to thermal expansion and attachment of oxides, to reduce leakage of steam, and further to improve efficiency of a steam turbine and the entire power generating installation.SOLUTION: A steam adjusting valve 702 includes a valve rod 205, a valve body 200, a valve rod supporting portion, and a seal member 301. The valve rod 205 is provided with a valving element 204 on its tip. The valve body 200 includes a steam inlet 207, an outlet 208 from which the steam flowing in from the inlet 207, flows out, and an opening 209 formed in opposition to the outlet 208. The valve body 200 opens and closes the outlet 208 by the valving element 204 by axial movement of the valve rod 205 inserted through the opening 209. The valve rod supporting portion is disposed above the opening 209 of the valve body 200 while surrounding the valve rod 205. The valve rod supporting portion supports the valve rod 205 moving in the axial direction. The seal member 301 has an annular inner edge portion through which the valve rod 205 is passed. The inner edge portion of the seal member 301 is made of a material softer than an oxide attached to the valve rod 205.
