PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication encryption technique with excellent arithmetic efficiency.SOLUTION: A cipher C[i] (i=1,...,p) is obtained by encrypting plain text information P[i] (i=1,...,p). An element S[i] of an extension field GF(2) is obtained by calculating S[i]=(S[i-1](+)CN[i])(×)W using an element CN[i] of the expansion field GF(2) obtained from the cipher C[i], confidential information W which is an element of the expansion field GF(2) and an element S[i-1] of the expansion field GF(2). The (×) indicates a multiplication operation on the expansion field GF(2) (m[j]<n). An authenticator T corresponding to an element S[p] which is obtained by assuming the element of the expansion field GF(2) as an S[0] and performing processing of an extension field arithmetic unit for i=1,...,p, is obtained. |
