PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support apparatus that performs driving support while preventing overconfidence in the support.SOLUTION: A driving support apparatus 2 includes: a temporary stop determination part 122 that determines whether a vehicle 1 has temporarily stopped at a temporary stop spot; and a support control part 111 that starts preventive safety support that supports a driver driving the vehicle 1 since the temporary stop until passing through an intersection 153 located in an advancing direction of the vehicle 1 when the temporary stop determination part 122 determines that the vehicle 1 has temporarily stopped, and does not start the preventive safety support when the temporary stop determination part 122 does not determine that the vehicle 1 has temporarily stopped.
