Procedure and equipment for in-situ cleaning of play and shore sand

A device is used to suspend the uncleaned sand (1) with water, or if necessary with addition of cleaning agents. The impurities adhering to the grains of sand are washed off and dissolved in the water. The suspension is then freed of coarse components by a classifying or sorting machine. The cleared suspension is then divided into a first mass flow consisting of wet clean sand and a second mass flow consisting of water with fine components and dissolved impurities.
