The present invention relates to a stereoscopic image display device and a method for driving the same. A stereoscopic image display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a display panel for including a number of sub pixels; a polarization control cell for transmitting a first linearly polarized light incident from the display panel as it is or converting the first linearly polarized light into a second linearly polarized light; a first anisotropic lens which includes a first lens layer and a second lens layer having different refractive indices when the second linearly polarized light is incident, and has a boundary layer between the first lens and the second lens acting as a first lens; and a second anisotropic lens which includes a third lens layer and a fourth lens layer having different refractive indices when the first linearly polarized light is incident, and has a boundary layer between the third lens layer and the fourth lens layer acting as a second lens. The width of the first lens is equal to the width of the second lens, and the second lens is shifted as much as 1/2 lens width rather than the first lens. |
