PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact strip formed of a carbonaceous material in which the interlayer coupling of a graphite crystal forming the carbonaceous material is not broken even when a large electric field is generated in a minute gap between the sliding contact surfaces of a trolley wire and the contact strip, and the large electric field is applied to the carbonaceous material forming the contact strip.SOLUTION: The surface of a carbonaceous material is converted into an equipotential surface. A contact strip is manufactured by compression molding of an aggregate of the carbonaceous material whose surface is the equipotential surface. As a result, even when a large electric field is applied to the carbonaceous material, the interlayer coupling of a graphite crystal forming the carbonaceous material is not broken. Thereby, there can be provided a contact strip which is resistant to wear and hardly causes electric noise. |
