PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote a greater number of players to perform cooperative plays with one another in a network game.SOLUTION: A network game system includes a server device, and a plurality of terminal devices with which individual players operate their own player characters to play games. The games played by each player include a specified game that can be joined by guest characters, which are player characters operated by the other players. The terminal device is operated by each player to transmit information for specifying guest characters to invite to the specified game played by the player, to the server device. The server device provides a penalty to the player in games proceeded by the terminal device, if the player fails to invite any of the registered player characters, which are registered in participable-character registration means as other player characters that can join the specified game proceeded by the terminal device, to join the specified game as a guest character within a predetermined period after the registration. |
