PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failover system capable of minimizing server downtime.SOLUTION: A client is selectively connectable to at least one of two servers which are mutually connected through a network connection. In a normal state, a server is designated as a primary server when connected to the client, and is designated as a backup server when not connected to the client. A service inside each server performs an external call through its own library. The library in the primary server finishes the external call to return a result of the external call to the service in the primary server, and submits the result of the external call to the service in the backup server. The library in a secondary server does not perform the external call and submits the result of the external call as received from the primary server to the service in the secondary server when requested from the service in the secondary server. |
