PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation device for a sheet type member that can excellently separate one sheet type member from stacked sheet type members.SOLUTION: A separation device for a sheet type member includes a sheet grip part (13) which moves to contact and leaves a sheet stack (ST) housed in a housing part (KT), a contact part (13d2, 13e2) which is provided to the sheet grip part (13) and opens and closes in a direction crossing the movement direction of the sheet grip part (13), and a pipe (13f) which is open in an end face of the contact part (13d2, 13e2) on the side of the sheet stack (ST) to a sheet stack side at a position a predetermined distance (&Dgr;H) away from the sheet stack side. After a sheet member (Wt) is pressed in with the end face of the contact part (13d2, 13e2) at a closest position in a contacting/leaving movement range and an intermediate part (Wtp) of the sheet type member (Wt) lifted relatively by the pressing-in of the contact part (13d2, 13e2) in the opening state is sucked through the pipe (13f), the sheet grip part (13) is elevated and the contact part (13d2, 13e2) is closed to grip the intermediate part (Wtp). |
