PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill handling device useful for managing the bills removed from a conveyance path by an attendant.SOLUTION: The bill handling device includes: a bill storage cassette of correct bills; a damaged bill storage cassette 150 of damaged bills; a conveyance unit in which a conveyance path of the bills in handling the bills is formed through a discrimination unit 120; a conveyance control unit for conveying the bills having received a judgment on counting the quantities of the bills and whether they are fit or unfit by the discrimination unit 120 to any of the bill storage cassettes according to a soundness determination result; a removed bill input unit for receiving the input of the removed bills causing a conveyance jam; and a removed bill discrimination execution unit for performing the judgment on counting the quantities of the bills and whether they are fit or unfit by the discrimination unit 120 on the removed bills by conveying the input removed bills through the discrimination unit 120. With respect to the removed bills also, the storage conveyance of the bills is performed according to the result of the soundness determination of the bills by the discrimination unit 120. |
