摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately measure bromate ion concentration while reducing hydrochloric acid concentration that is required for the measurement.SOLUTION: A bromate ion measuring method includes: a first step of conducting a water sample to an anion exchanger for selectively absorbing bromate ions; a second step of conducting a hydrochloric acid solution containing fluorescent material that changes the fluorescence intensity by coexistence with the bromate ions to the anion exchanger; a third step of measuring the fluorescence intensity of the fluorescent material contained in the hydrochloric acid solution that passed through the anion exchanger; and a fourth step of calculating bromate ion concentration corresponding to the measured fluorescence intensity by using a calibration curve indicating correspondence between fluorescence intensity of the fluorescent material and the bromate ion concentration. The third step includes a step of measuring any one of the fluorescence intensities when an excitation wavelength and a fluorescence wavelength are 264 nm and 400 nm, respectively, when the excitation wavelength and the fluorescence wavelength are 264 nm and 480 nm, respectively, and when the excitation wavelength and the fluorescence wavelength are 300 nm and 400 nm, respectively.
