Satellite signal receiving antenna for GPS

The antenna (20) is located in a plastic housing (15) of a vehicle side mirror (1). Preferably, the receiver is placed in the vehicle and the cable (30) which connects the antenna and the receiver is passed through a holder (3) of the side mirror. A board (22) is located in the upper part (10) of the housing which has only a small electromagnetic attenuation. The antenna is attached to the board which carries an antenna preamplifier. The preamplifier filters out GPS signals and amplifies the signals. The preamplifier signal input is coupled to the antenna and the preamplifier output is coupled to the cable.
