PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of suppressing the axial-direction thickness of a part close to a central axis and suppressing reduction in rigidity of the part in a base plate of a disk drive.SOLUTION: A base plate 21A of a disk drive 1A has a motor base 41A located around a central axis 9A, and a base main body part 42A spreading outside the motor base 41A in a radial direction. The motor base 41A is composed of metallic material of a first type. The base main body part 42A is composed of metallic material of a second type. The motor base 41A has a flange section 415A and a plastically deformed section 416A. The flange section 415A and the plastically deformed section 416A contact at least a part of both axial-direction end faces of an inner end part of the base main body part 42A. As a result, the motor base is prevented from coming off the axial direction. |
