Procedure for sorting of parcels by markings on cover

The incoming parcels are pre-sorted in accordance with a presorting plan, and simultaneously put on the sorting machine. Final sortings which can use sections not required for the presorting are carried out according to activated final sorting plans. Pre-sorted parcels are then sent to the sorting machine again for final sorting. Incoming parcels which are to be sorted in accordance with active final sorting plans are finally sorted straight away without presorting.
