The method involves coupling microwaves into heating media provided in a heater, where the heater is provided with a microwave generator (2) and a microwave transmitter (3). A sensor (5) and a sensor electronics (4) are attached directly to a container (6). A heating phase is coupled into media of a measuring phase. The heating phase and the measuring phase are performed at separate time. A break is created between the phases when a temperature on or within the sensor falls below an applicable threshold. Electrical signal lines are provided between the sensors and sensor electronics. An independent claim is also included for a device for suppressing interference in sensor systems in containers.
