PURPOSE: An impedance matching device and a method thereof are provided to execute optimal impedance matching by increasing the isolation of a directive coupler. CONSTITUTION: A detection unit(240) detects transmission power from an outputted transmission signal. The detection unit detects reflection power from the received reflection signal. A switch unit(230) transmits a transmission signal or a reflection signal to the detection unit. The switch unit processes the transmission signal or the reflection signal outputted from the directive coupler as the set impedance. An impedance matching circuit(210) controls impedance based on the size of the detected transmission power and reflection power.
