Novel anti-CD98 antibody

摘要

A human antibody capable of binding specifically to CD98 which is CD98 originating in the cell membrane of cancer cells and forms a complex with a protein having an amino acid transport activity (for example, LAT1) and a functional fragment of the same. This antibody binds to CD98 forming a dimer with LAT1 on the surface of cancer cells, thus specifically attacks the cancer cells expressing CD98 by using an immunological system of ADCC or CDC and further inhibits the LAT1-mediated amino acid intake by the cancer cells, thus inhibiting the proliferation thereof. Accordingly, it is intended to provide an agent for preventing and treating caner which contains this antibody or a fragment of the antibody, acts on various cancers, is specific to cancer and shows no side effect.
