Adaptor Pallet

The present invention provides a light, robust and user-friendly adapter pallet (100) for the transport of dollies (200). The novel adaptor pallet (100) comprises two sets of parallel tracks (11, 12; 21, 22) for receiving the wheels (210) of a dolly (200), which tracks (11, 12) define a longitudinal direction. Between both sets of tracks, a lifting structure (30, 40) is arranged to connect the tracks (11, 12; 21, 22) at an elevated level for re ceiving the lifting forks of a fork-lift. The adaptor pallet (100) also comprises a loading end (60) for introducing the dollies (200) to the adapter pallet (100), and a closed end (70) which opposes the loading end (60) in the longitudinal direction and comprises a stopper (71) for limiting the movement of dollies (200) in the longitudinal direction. The novel adaptor pallet (100) further comprises a locking plate (50) for limiting the movement of the dollies (200) in the longitudinal direction. The locking plate (50) is rotatably connected to the lifting structure (30, 40) at one end, while another end of the locking plate (50) comprises a stopper protrusion (52) and means for releasably affixing the locking plate (50) into a horizontal position such that the stopper protrusion (52) limits the movement of the dol lies at the loading end (60) of the adaptor pallet (100), wherein the locking plate (50) is releasable from the horizontal position into an angled position for opening the loading end (60) of the adaptor pallet (100).
