Method and System for Electronic Receipts Abstract The present disclosure relates to a method and system for electronic receipts and, in particular, to a method and system for storing electronic receipts in a centralised storage location. The method assigns a unique identifier to a customer and identifies the customer during each of a plurality of commercial transactions, wherein the plurality of commercial transactions being associated with at least two commercial institutions. The method then transmits data relating to each the transaction to a repository, the transmitted data being associated with the unique identifier assigned to the customer. The repository stores the transmitted data in the repository in association with the unique identifier. A user is able to assign one of a set of annotation categories to each line item in the stored data.
