Coin or token operated gaming machine

The gaming machine is operated by means of coins, tokens or similar means of payment. The machine has disks, rollers, cubes, cards or an image reproducing device for representing random play symbols. The game system has different play elements e.g. at least one gamble device, a jackpot counter, a device for playing off certain games etc. A central control unit is provided for controlling the performance of all functions. The control unit is in operative connection with function groups which realise the play elements. The machine has an arrangement for temporary activation of at least one play element. This is used to vary the play and/or win ratio of the gaming machine (1) in favour of the player.
