Twin camshaft valve drive for internal combustion engine

The valve drive has two inlet camshafts which actuates the inlet valve through a transmission with multiple gear wheels. The inlet camshafts can be driven from the crankshaft via a transmission, the exhaust camshaft being similarly driven. The exhaust camshaft (3) can be driven directly from the crankshaft through a drive coupling (12). The drive of the inlet camshaft (3) can be transmitted to the exhaust camshaft via a coupling (7) which is directly on engagement with the remaining drive transmission.
