Heating system operating method

The heating system has a burner (5) with a blower (16) and a primary heat exchanger (3). During stationary operation, the blower output is regulated dependent upon a preselected block air figure at the heat exchanger. Directly after burner ignition, the blower is operated for a set period of time, e.g. a maximum of 3 minutes, at higher capacity, during this time it is able to generate a higher block air figure than the selected one.
