PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface hardening treatment device and a surface hardening treatment method capable of controlling an atmosphere in a treatment furnace by referring to the atmosphere in the treatment furnace.SOLUTION: A surface hardening treatment device includes: a hydrogen concentration detection means 4 which detects a hydrogen concentration in furnace gas based on thermal conductivity of the furnace gas in a treatment furnace 2; a furnace gas composition calculation means 24 which calculates a furnace gas composition which is the composition of the furnace gas based on the hydrogen concentration detected by the hydrogen concentration detection means 4; and a gas introduction amount control means 26 which controls a total introduction amount of a plurality of kinds of furnace introduction gases into the treatment furnace 2, in a state where a furnace introduction gas flow ratio, which is the ratio of an introduction amount of a plurality of kinds of furnace introduction gases into the treatment furnace 2, is retained to be a constant value, in such a manner that the furnace gas composition becomes a set furnace gas mixture ratio, according to the furnace gas composition calculated by the furnace gas composition calculation means 24 and a set furnace gas mixture ratio which is set beforehand, or which individually controls an introduction amount of the plurality of kinds of furnace introduction gases so that the furnace introduction gas flow ratio varies. |
