PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device capable of emitting light with high luminance and high luminous flux even under a high operation environmental temperature condition.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device includes: an excitation light source; a phosphor holding member made of inorganic glass; and a wavelength conversion part made of the phosphor dispersed in the phosphor holding member. The wavelength conversion part includes at least two sorts of a Ce-activated Ca-α-sialon phosphor and an Eu activated Ca-α-sialon phosphor.
