PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor which secures holding force on permanent magnets by a cover, which prevents damage to the permanent magnets, and which alleviates press-fitting load of the cover.SOLUTION: In a rotor 30, a middle portion 37 of a first radially outer surface 35 of each of projections 34 of a rotor core 32 is in contact with a cover 50, and ends 38 of the first radially outer surface 35 are separated radially inward from the cover 50. Thus, an entire second radially outer surface 41 of each of permanent magnets 40 is reliably brought into contact with the cover 50, and holding force on the permanent magnets 40 by the cover 50 is secured. An increase in compressive stress on the permanent magnets 40 due to local contact between the permanent magnets 40 and the cover 50 is avoided, and the permanent magnets 40 are thus prevented from being damaged. Frictional resistance caused when the cover 50 is press-fitted is reduced, and press-fitting load L is thus alleviated. |
