The handle (3) has an elongated and an approximately cylindrical gripping portion (4), and a transition region (5) that is arranged towards a stick (1). A radially projecting thumb rest (8) is arranged at the transition region facing an end (6) of the gripping portion and along a portion of a periphery of the gripping portion. The thumb rest radially projects more than diameter of the cylindrical gripping portion. A set of finger grooves (11, 12, 13) is formed in the transition region.
