Disclosed are a user interface-based method and terminal device for file processing. The method comprises: detecting whether or not a user interface has generated an operation command for dragging a file; if the operation command for dragging the file is generated, then detecting whether or not the file is dragged to where the icon is thus triggering same; and, if the icon is triggered, then performing on the file dragged a processing of an external interface function corresponding to the icon. With the method, the present invention allows for intuitive and rapid utilization of an external interface of a smart terminal to perform file processing. |
