PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device which can be reduced in size rather than the prior arts and can speedily return to an original position when shaking is settled.SOLUTION: The base isolation device comprises: a fixed member 2 which is disposed at a predetermined position; a movable member 6 which is moved in a horizontal direction with respect to the fixed member 2 by vibrations from the outside; and a support member 5 which supports the movable member 6 to the fixed member 2 so as to freely slide the movable member 6. The base isolation device further comprises magnetic field generation means which returns the movable member 6 that has moved in the horizontal direction, to an initial position with a magnetic attraction force. In the base isolation device, the fixed member 2 includes a base 3 where the movable member 6 is installed, the movable member 6 includes a stage 7 where an object is placed, and the support member 5 includes a plurality of spheres 50 interposed between the base 3 and the movable member 6. A magnetic field generation means 10 includes a permanent magnet 12 which generates a magnetic flux from the fixed member 2 or the movable member 6 to the movable member 6 or the fixed member 2, and an attraction yoke 13 which is disposed at a position opposed to the permanent magnet 12 in the state where no vibration is generated. |
