A load cell assembly for an electronic scale may include a substantially flat plate having an outer portion and a load cell aperture defining an inner portion having a deflectable member. A sensor may be disposed on the deflectable member responsive to deflection of the deflectable member. A housing may be configured to engage the outer portion of the load cell and hold the load cell. A foot member may include a bottom portion for contacting the surface upon which the electronic scale is sitting and a top portion including an upwardly depending foot member wall for contacting the inner portion of the load cell and foot member snap fit engagement members configured to engage the inner portion of the load cell, the upwardly depending foot member wall and the foot member snap fit engagement members resisting lateral movement of the foot member relative to the load cell. |
