The device (1) has an electrical heating resistor (2) for heating a planar carrier (3). An adhesive layer (4) fixes the device at a location. A side of the adhesive layer adheres at the device. The side of the adhesive layer facing away from the device is covered with a strippable temporary cover layer (5) before fixation at the location. A stripping aid (6) e.g. adhesive band, is provided at the cover layer for enabling stripping of the cover layer. Adhering forces per area unit between the aid and the cover layer are larger than that of between the cover layer and an adhesive coating.
