The present invention relates to a method for controlling rolling of a heavy plate. When scheduling rolling passes for heavy plate rolling, the method suggests a means to adjust a schedule for residual rolling pass so that the final rolling pass can be conducted at the minimum reduction rate. A leading end portion can be prevented from being flexed, thereby enhancing flatness and from inflicting impact damage to equipment.
