Abstract The invention includes a percutaneously implantable vascular valve device, comprising: 5 an implantable frame having a proximal frame end and a distal frame end, the frame having a first condition for percutaneous vascular delivery and a second, expanded condition for deployment, the expanded condition providing an inner lumen; 0 a plurality of flexible valve leaflets located within the inner lumen of the frame, the flexible valve leaflets each having an upper portion and a lower portion, the leaflet upper portions defining cooperating leaflet edge portions providing a valve orifice within the lumen of the frame; 5 the flexible valve leaflets each extending only partially along a length of the frame, with the leaflet upper portions spaced distally from the proximal frame end; and each of the leaflet lower portions including a leaflet apex attached to the frame with a plurality of suture !0 attachments extending around a portion of the circumference of the frame so as to define a generally curved contour, the suture attachments provided at locations spaced proximally from the distal frame end. |
