PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling fall prevention device which can prevent the fall of a ceiling material even when a great quake is applied to a ceiling during earthquakes, and which can be simply and reliably constructed even in an existing building while making execution of business continue.SOLUTION: A ceiling fall prevention device 10 prevents the fall of the whole ceiling 1. The ceiling fall prevention device 10 includes: a plurality of strut materials 11 which are supported by a steel beam 4 of an attic space of the ceiling 1 and elongated below a ceiling face material 24 of the ceiling 1; a plurality of retainer materials 12 which are provided across the plurality of strut materials 11; and protective materials 13 which are provided across the plurality of retainer materials 12 and positioned below the ceiling face material 24.
