Provided are: a carbon-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic polyamide molded article having excellent physical properties and appearance; a method for producing the molded article through a simple process that does not cause the increase in production cost; and a material for molding, which enables the achievement of the production method. A material for molding, characterized in that 50 to 2000 parts by mass of a thermoplastic polyamide is adhered onto an easy-to-impregnate carbon fiber bundle, wherein the fiber bundle comprises 100 parts by mass of a carbon fiber and 3 to 15 parts by mass of at least one impregnation aid that meets a specific requirement.
