The present invention relates to a method for producing 3-hydroxypropionic acid comprising a step for culturing a recombinant microorganism containing nucleotide sequences coding glycerol dehydratase derived from Ilyobacter polytropus and nucleotide sequences coding dehydrogenase converting 3-hydroxypropionic aldehyde into 3-hydroxypropionic acid and the recombinant microorganism used therefor. The recombinant microorganism and the method for producing 3-hydroxypropionic acid using the same according to the present invention has effects in: markedly increasing the production of 3-hydroxypropionic acid compare to a recombinant microorganism containing vitamin B12-dependent glycerol dehydratase derived from Klebsiella pneumoniae; and significantly decreasing the production of 1,3-propanediol (1,3-PDO), which is a by-product generated in the production of 3-hydroxypropionic acid. |
