PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute proper driving control according to the output of a temperature sensor of a recording head without installing a high-precision sensor in a recording device body.SOLUTION: A recording device performs recording on a recording medium using a recording head which has a plurality of heaters and a temperature sensor on a substrate and ejects ink by driving the plurality of heaters, through the following processes. Namely, when a test pattern is recorded using predetermined driving pulses in an operation of a first mode for device maintenance, a detected temperature of the temperature sensor is stored as a reference temperature in a memory. In an operation of a second mode for normal recording, a difference between the detected temperature and the reference temperature stored in the memory is calculated, and driving pulses to drive the recording head are selected out of a plurality of driving pulses on the basis of the difference. Then the recording head is controlled to perform recording by driving the recording head using the selected driving pulses. |
