PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a fault in a circulation pump that allows low-cost and proper detection of a fault in the circulation pump.SOLUTION: A method for detecting a fault in a circulation pump includes: a return passage that connects a cathode off-gas supply passage downstream of an inlet sealing valve 23 and a cathode off-gas emission passage upstream of an outlet sealing valve 24; a circulation pump 25 that is provided in the return passage; and system state quantity detection means that includes at least one of a first pressure sensor P, an oxygen concentration meter D, a second pressure sensor P, and an output detector 41. An ECU 51 executes: a cathode off-gas circulation step of circulating cathode off-gas through the return passage; a discharge step of allowing a fuel cell 10 to discharge; and a fault determination step of making fault determination of the circulation pump 25 on the basis of system state quantity. |
