PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively achieve power saving and reduction of a customer's waiting time in an automatic cash transaction device.SOLUTION: An automatic cash transaction device comprises a customer sensor section that is provided on a front surface of the automatic cash transaction device and detects an approach of a customer. The customer sensor section includes: a pyroelectric effect type sensor having a radial-shaped detection range; a first distance sensor having a first detection distance that is set for covering a non-detection area existing at a center part of the radial-shaped detection range; and a second distance sensor having a second detection distance that is shorter than the first detection distance. A control section controls operation of the automatic cash transaction device on the basis of the result of detection by the customer sensor section. Also, the control section controls transition to a power saving mode that reduces power consumption by interrupting power supply to a preset block between a plurality of blocks constituting the automatic cash transaction device, and recovery from the power saving mode on the basis of the result of detection by the customer sensor section. |
