PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correction effect with high accuracy and to provide a degree of freedom of the adjustment in the horizontal Sshape correction circuit where an S-shape correction capacitor is provided to a horizontal deflection circuit. SOLUTION: The S-shaped correction characteristic is adjusted by using changeover switches SW1 , SW2 so as to connect/disconnect, e.g. first half and latter half S-shaped correction capacitors CS1 , CS2 to/from an S-shaped correction capacitor CS of a horizontal deflection circuit for a prescribed period of horizontal scanning. Thus, the S-shaped correction effect with high accuracy is obtained. Furthermore, by adjusting values of control DC signals DA-CTL1 , DA-CTL2 , the adjustment width is controlled independently for the first half and the latter half optionally externally. Moreover, the S-shaped correction value in response to the vertical position of the screen is changed by using a vertical parabolic wave. |
