PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meteorological radar device capable of reducing occurrence of an event that a non-precipitation spot is recognized as a precipitation spot.SOLUTION: A meteorological radar device includes an antenna device, a signal processing device, a data conversion part, a storage part, a threshold calculation part, and a data correction part. The antenna device emits a radar pulse by way of a transmission beam set at each observation point in the preset observation zone and receives a reflective pulse produced by the emitted radar pulse being reflected. The signal processing device forms a reception beam set for each observation point and calculates reception intensity of the reflective pulse. The data conversion part obtains intensity distribution within the observation range on the basis of the reception intensity calculated for each observation point. The storage part pre-stores antenna patterns of the transmission and reception beams. The threshold calculation part refers to the intensity distribution and the antenna patterns and calculates a threshold for each observation point. The data correction part corrects precipitation intensity of each observation point using the threshold for the observation point, thereby correcting the intensity distribution. |
