PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make not an optical correction, but a correction by a simple mechanism when a large difference (aberration) in scanning width is generated between the end part and center part on a recording medium at the time of scanning the recording medium by deflecting light by a rotary polygon mirror. SOLUTION: A rotary mechanism 5 which drives and rotates the rotary polygon mirror 3 rotates a flat pulley 7 at a constant speed by a driving motor 6 and the flat pulley 7 and a circular pulley 8 are coupled by a belt 9 to transmits a turning force to the circular pulley 8. Consequently, when the flat pulley 7 is rotated, its turning force is transmitted to the circular pulley 7, but its rotating speed is slow when the end part on the surface of the photosensitive body 1 is scanned with the laser light and fast when the center part is scanned. Consequently, the scanning width of the laser light is corrected not optically, but by the mechanism to make the scanning width constant at the center and end parts. |
