<p>Disclosed in the present invention is the use of angiostatin as active ingredient in the preparation of anti-inflammatory drugs. Angiostatin as the active ingredient of anti-inflammatory drugs shows two bands using reductive SDS-PAGE assay. The bands are known as alpha chain and beta chain, and their molecular weights are 12000-22000 Dalton and 9000-19000 Dalton respectively. The amino acid sequence of alpha chain is shown as SEQ ID NO.1, and the amino acid sequence of beta chain is shown as SEQ ID NO.2. Three isomers corresponding to each of the alpha chain and the beta chain are produced respectively after two-dimensional electrophoresis.</p>
