<p>This disc brake device (1) is configured to include a rotor (4), a carrier (5), a caliper (7), an inner pad (43) and a brake actuating mechanism. The brake actuating mechanism is provided with: a base plate (35) held by the caliper (7); a wedge plate (37) holding the inner pad (43); a first motion conversion mechanism which moves the wedge plate (37) in the direction perpendicular to a braking surface (4a) while sliding the same in the rotation direction of the rotor (4); an electric motor having a motor output shaft that outputs rotational drive force; and a second motion conversion mechanism which is provided with a cam drive shaft (170) and which slides the wedge plate (37) in parallel with the braking surface (4a) and in the rotation direction of the rotor (4); and is provided with a drive force transmission mechanism which transmits the rotation drive force from the motor output shaft to the cam drive shaft (170) and in which the electric motor is attached to the caliper (7) such that the motor output shaft is positioned on the outer periphery side of the cam drive shaft (170).</p> |
