<p>The present invention relates to a receiving apparatus, a receiving method, a transmitting device, a transmitting method, and a program which can promptly present receivable one-segment broadcast. Station information acquiring units (111 through 113) acquire station information on a station containing at least broadcasting area information which is information on a broadcasting area, within which a broadcast wave from a station, which transmits a broadcast wave of an arbitrary one-segment broadcast through an arbitrary segment, is receivable. A station selecting unit (117) selects a station of the one-segment broadcast which is receivable in a present location, as a channel selectable station, channels of which are selectable, by using the broadcast area information. A channel selection control unit (118) performs channel selection control of selecting a channel of the one-segment broadcast of the channel selectable station.
