The present invention relates to an information transmission method for a mobile gateway using a wireless personal area network. The information transmission method for a mobile gateway using a wireless personal area network according to the present invention comprises the following steps of: (a) collecting, by a mobile gateway, sensing information from a wireless sensor node over a wireless personal area network; (b) determining whether the collected sensing information is urgent information; (c) transmitting the information over a broadband mobile network if the sensing information is determined as urgent information in the step (b); (d) storing the information in its own storage unit if the sensing information is determined as non-urgent information in the step (b); (e) determining whether the mobile gateway enters the wireless radius of a station; and (f) performing the batch transmission of the collected and stored information to a station server if the mobile gateway enters the wireless radius of the station. According to the present invention, sensing information of a sensor network is collected by using a mobile gateway, therefore, broadband network establishment and maintenance costs for each fixed gateway are not required. Moreover, mobile data traffic can be reduced by transmitting sensing information over a broadband mobile network according to the urgency of the sensing information.
