The present invention relates to a system and a method for providing an eco-routing service, and includes: a user terminal for transmitting eco-routing information request signal including origin and destination to an eco-routing service device and receiving eco-routing information from the eco-routing service device; and the eco-routing service device for searching travel routes which connect the origin and destination according to receipt of the eco-routing information request signal, calculating a mileage for each route using road environment information of the searched travel routes and providing the travel route capable of providing the minimum mileage by deciding with eco-routing.
