<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner of high performance capable of comparatively easily obtaining a large heat exchange area and efficiently accelerating supercooling without reducing the flow velocity of a liquefied refrigerant. <P>SOLUTION: The outdoor unit 10 has a back face intake port 12 formed in the back face of a casing 10a of substantially rectangular plane shape, a side face intake port 12a formed in one side face, and an exhaust port 11 formed in a front face. A back face side heat exchanger and a side face side heat exchanger which are both the down flow type of parallel flow are arranged inside the back face intake port 12 and the side face intake port 12a. The back face side heat exchanger and the side face side heat exchanger are connected so that the refrigerant having passed a flat tube of the back face side heat exchanger is supplied to the side face side heat exchanger when condensing. At least one of the back face side heat exchanger and the side face side heat exchanger is composed of a plurality of heat exchangers aligned in an air flow direction. A refrigerant circuit flowing from the leeward side heat exchanger to the windward side heat exchanger when condensing is formed between the plurality of heat exchangers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
