WOUND COVERING MATERIAL CONTAINING SILK FIBROIN AND SILK SERICIN AS THE MAIN COMPONENTS AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

摘要

There is provided a novel wound dressing material which has biocompatibility and infection controllability as essential properties required to such a material, especially excellent flexibility and water absorption properties, thereby accelerating smooth regeneration of skin defect without stripping off the regenerating skin while putting off the material from the skin. A healing agent is added to the wound dressing material which comprises an amorphous film of crystallinity below 10 % and contains fibroin and sericin as a main component.
